It’s been a ridiculously hectic day. Like, honestly, I don’t think I’ve really stopped moving, in one way, shape, or form, since I woke up at 4:30 am this morning.
That’s not to say that I haven’t had any downtime at all, but even in that downtime there’s been a certain amount of… motion. I’ve been actively discerning or thinking through, or planning since I got here. Or I’ve actually moved around. I mean, besides that nice, minutes long nap I took on the plane…
But we’re in DC! And there’s so many familiar faces! And so many more unfamiliar faces, but that’s lovely! And everyone is here because of our shared Ignatian heritage, and Jesuit (or at least Jesuit inspired) education! That’s beautiful.
I honestly wish I could talk about all the wonderful things I’ve seen, and all of the beautiful words I’ve heard, but there’s so much than I could begin to elaborate on. So, I’ll just leave with this: I feel the love of God being shown here, and as Sister Helen Prejean put it, Justice is the bare minimum of love.
