The Grace of Halloween

You know, there’s a lot of unseen grace that comes from Halloween. Sure, there’s some not so great things, like people dressing up as devils, and lots of crime, and Ouija boards, which should just be avoided in general. But on Halloween, we also teach generosity, especially to Children, as well as showing children that it’s okay to change things up, to be a little different every once in a while.

There’s also the grace found in facing the things that scare us, to experience fear, and to grow from it. We also take the things that scare us, and make them smaller, reminding us of what these things actually are. We find ourselves in uncomfortable situations, and allow ourselves to grow from them.

Plus, getting to dress up is always wonderful.

This is my costume:

Cool stuff. Be safe, y’all.
