Sometimes, I forget that, even in the bad, there is some traces of goodness. Everything, by its very nature, has the potential to bring out goodness in us, and in others. As the 19th century Jesuit poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins, SJ, wrote, “The world is charged with the grandeur of God.”
That’s not to say things are bad. They are far from it. I just got back from a great retreat with the choir I sing in. It was great bonding time, and I feel better for having gone. Still, I have emotional and mental things to deal with, but so does everyone else.
Anyways, thinking about where I am reminds me of a song. Here it is.
Shoutout to Drew.
