Halloween: An After-Thought

Next year, I’m planning a Halloween party. Why? Well, Halloween this year could have been so much more fun. I mean, it was fun. But still, it could have been way more fun. I mean, I think next year it’s up to me to get together a Halloween party, because the party I went to I left a little early, just because it really wasn’t all that fun. I mean, I can understand how others had fun, but I think if everyone were a bit more comfortable, it just would be easier to be a part of, at least for myself. I don’t know. Halloween, I think, shouldn’t be another excuse to get absolutely faded/blasted/hammered/stupid/etc. If you really want to do that, you don’t really need an excuse (No Shame November). I personally am not a fan of that. I’d much rather find myself in good company that would be able to have fun, in a party situation, completely sober.

Anyway, yesterday was the first day of Movember, and both my roommate and I shaved every hair off of our faces, for a clean start to the event. I’ll be shaving anything in the beard area, only allowing my “mustache” to grow.

Today’s Daily Gratitude is for all of the Jesuits I got to speak with yesterday at the Jesuit Mass of Jubilee for the Southern and Central Jesuit province. It was awesome to see so many men of faith share their experience so openly with me. I am so blessed and grateful to get to learn more for my own faith exploration.
