So, for Christmas this year, one of the things I gave Brielle was a copy of the book, Bless Me, Ultima, but Rudolfo Anaya. It is possibly one of my favorite books. Also, apparently there is a movie out, based on the book, by the same name. I want to see it.
This will be a short post.
Brielle, today, gave me gummy bears from Sprouts. That’s how I know she reads this blog. Haha
Today’s daily gratitude is for Rudolfo Anaya, author of Bless Me, Ultima. Thank you for writing this powerful story, that has to some extent shaped my life. I read this novel at a point in my life when I really needed the lessons which are in your book. This novel, shaped by conflict of ideology and thought and belief, and also about coming-of-age, and love, and understanding, and compassion of acceptance of differences, and learning the good of the ideas that might seem to contradict. I thank you for this novel, and as a writer, I understand that all writing is essentially bareing a piece of your soul to others. So thank you for bareing that piece of your soul to us.
