Hamlet

So, this is the night when I start reading Shakespeare’s Hamlet for my AP Lit class. I’m excited, and as soon as I finish this post I’ll start reading it. So, as you might expect, I’m going to write a relatively short post. But do not despair, for I have tidings (of some sort…)!

So, I did my callback for the spring play. I don’t want to say how I did until I know if I got a role or not. But I did the callbacks. Oh, and speaking of Shakespeare, my original monologue for auditions last week was the opening monologue from Richard III. I actually enjoyed the monologue a lot, and especially get to play a character in a lot of ways completely different from myself. But it was the connections, not necessarily the similarities (I can’t think of any…), but definitely the sympathies I felt for him, ad the way in which he sees the world correlating a lot with the way in which I very much used to see the world…

Anyways, I’m glad I did that. I should really start reading. Wish me luck! Peace…
